Yoga

Hatha flow Yoga

All welcome, from the beginner student to the more advanced!

Yoga helps calm the mind and strengthen the body through the use of meditation, pranayama and asana. Come for the stretch, stay for the savasana!

Monday Nights - 6 - 7.15pm - $10. Please bring a mat and some water!


Prenatal Yoga 

Yoga is perfect for pregnant women as it promotes relaxation whilst strengthening and toning the body. It is a fantastic way to bond with your unborn baby one on one, whilst learning techniques to help you stay calm throughout the pregnancy, birth and beyond. Prenatal yoga is best started in your second trimester.

Mums & Bubs Yoga

Finding time to relax, restore and move your body as a new mother can be challenging. In this class, you can bring along your newborn - active crawling bub and enjoy some one on one time together. We will employ pranayama to connect to yourself and your baby and gentle asana to help draw those over stretched muscles back together, as well as some yoga and massage for your bub.

As this is a postnatal class please wait 6 weeks after a vaginal birth and 2-3 months after a C-Section birth (talk to you doctor to check).

Postnatal Yoga 

Pregnancy changes a mother's body to cope with her growing baby. Sometimes going straight back into a normal yoga class (or any exercise regime) can be too strong and cause injury. Postnatal yoga works with the new mother to strengthen the body and to help with post-birth recovery.

Tribal Bellydance

Tribal bellydance is open to everyone!

We base our classes on the American Tribal Style® (ATS®) format. 

American Tribal Style® is an improvisational dance form encompassing elements from North Africa, Spain, Northern India and the Middle East. 'American' signifies that it is a modern dance and it isn't linked to any particular cultural group. 

Please dress comfortably (stretchy top/pants) you can bring a hip shawl as well if you wish. Remember your water!

Hello There!

Hi! I'm Lauren, nice to meet you ☺

Zola is said to mean 'clump of earth' in ancient Greek. As we are all part of Earth, it is only logical to work together and be peaceful and thankful to Earth for giving us everything we need. Lauren created Zola Temple to allow everyone to come to a class and feel good (and maybe a little bit more mindful) leaving it. She imparts her goofy, happy attitude to everything she does and hopes you are happy too ☺ 

it all started when..

Lauren took her first bellydance class when she was 12 years old. It was love at first sight! The dance taught her to be comfortable in her own skin and she grew a love of flowing skirts and whimsical 'different' designs and fashions. After a bit of a hiatus through highschool, she and a fellow bellydancing friend organised a local bellydancing teacher to teach them at their university. After moving to Sydney in 2011 she was a student to many a teacher all specialising in Tribal Bellydance, whether that be American Tribal Style® (ATS®), Tribal Fusion, Dark Fusion or Gypsy Caravan®, she loved them all. An off chance allowed her to start teaching classes in 2015. 

Lauren has always dabbled in yoga, never really knowing what it was - just knowing it felt good to move with her breath. From 2012 she started taking classes more seriously, learning more about her body, it's limitations and it's capabilities. When she was pregnant with her first child, meditation and yoga calmed her busy mind and stretched out her swollen achy body. This helped her to relax and be present throughout her pregnancy, labour and motherhood, In late 2015 she started teacher training and completed Level 1 course with Byron Yoga Centre in 2016. She has since studied for her Level 2 Yoga Teacher training (B.Y.C) and Pre/Post Natal/Mums & Bubs Yoga with Bliss Baby Yoga. 

In 2018 she opened her home studio to teach you!
